Admiral Duke - Writer, Editor In Chief, Proprietor
Born in Kansas City, Admiral Duke has long felt a kinship to Walt Disney who was himself raised in Missouri and even started his first animation studio LAUGH-O-GRAM in Kansas City. Admiral has been a life long fan of all things Disney and Star Wars. After serving 8 years in the United States Navy he focused his creative efforts on a small local music website in 1998 and became obsessed with blogging and independent publishing. He spent the next several years focused on film making and all aspects of entertainment.
In 2003 he took his wife and two kids to Disneyland for the first time as a family. This sparked a new obsession with the Disney Parks. Shortly thereafter he decided to combine his two obsessions and DisFanReview was born. Originally a series of short YouTube videos, the website blossomed into your home for all things Disney, Marvel, and Star Wars. Since then he has been fortunate enough to cover some of the biggest pop culture events around. Among them have been WonderCon, Disney's D23 Expo, Star Wars Celebration V and VI, and the granddaddy of them all San Diego Comic Con.
In 2011 Admiral Duke was able to fulfill a lifelong dream and began to work at a comic book store. In addition to his work for DisFanReview.com he is also the Public Relations Manager for Albuquerque comic book store chain Kaboom Test Labs. However those duties may tie him up, he has never strayed from his passion for DisFanReview.com.
